Electricity at Work Regulations

The Electricity at Work Regulations place a legal responsibility on employers, employees and self-employed persons to comply with the provisions of the regulations and take reasonably practicable steps to ensure that no danger results from the use of such equipment.

At Murray Gibson we are able to inspect, test and certify all manner of portable appliances that may be in use in your workplace.

We can also schedule periodic inspections to ensure your electrics conform to the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974).

IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671)

The IEE Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) for the safety of electrical installations for buildings have become the standard for the UK and many other countries. We inspect, test and provide certification of electrical installations, and can replace faulty wiring that does not conform to this safety standard.

Professional memberships.

Murray Gibson Services Limited are members of the Electrical Contractors Association, ECA Registration No. ECA:75123. Murray is the current Chairman of North West Branch of the ECA, a post he has held for the last three years.

We are also members of the Joint Industry Board (JIB) for the Electrical Contracting Industry. Our registration number is M2043300.

Part P Compliance.

We have recently been inspected and are pleased to report Murray Gibson Services is FULLY COMPLIANT with Part P of the building regulations which comes into force in January 2005.
